TGIF! Been a bit of a stressful week, so I’m glad to see the weekend almost here. I’m excited to get out of work early today and get my errands done, clean my house. And also for the pizza and giant glass of wine I’m planning. 😉 Tomorrow night we’re going to the Indians’ game, and I’m really excited about that! Our seats are right behind third base, and we’re supposed to have gorgeous weather.
This is going to be my last blog post for awhile. I’ve decided to take a bit of a break from it. I’m feeling burnt out, so a break will do me good. I don’t know for how long, but I’ll be back at some point.
Have a great weekend!

FITBIT STEPS
Another good week. My goal is always at least 30 minutes a day, whether it’s a run or a walk or both. I even worked in some kettlebell exercises one night. Trying to get my arms toned up. I haven’t had a long run in a few weeks, so I’m hoping for one of those over the weekend.
I have been using MyFitnessPal for 2 years at the end of this month. I still don’t feel completely confident in my daily choices to stop using it completely, although I don’t track everything like I used to. I basically use it just to get a rough idea of where I’m at for the day. One of the things I had been noticing was my exercise calories were always WAY high. Which would then make me think I had all these extra calories to EAT ALL THE FOOD. And I didn’t want to keep thinking that way, and find myself eating poorly. I decided to change my settings on MFP from sedentary to active, since I do workout almost daily. It gives me a more accurate number of calories burned and keeps me closer to the number I should be consuming every day. I’m not trying to lose, just maintain, and MFP really helps me stay on track.
Your pizza and wine sound amazing!!! I hope you enjoy them tonight. Enjoy your break and can’t wait for you to come back 🙂 Have a great weekend!!
I have a GNO tonight and dinner out with hubs and friends tomorrow. I’m so excited.
I hope you enjoy your break from blogging – I hope you’ll continue to stop by and check in with the FitReader gang!
I’ve been using LoseIt! for 2.5 years now. It’s a chore sometimes, but I don’t want to go back to life without it. I’ve fudged my app as well – saying that I need to consume 300 calories less than the recommended amount – that helps me similar to what you do. Keep it up! You can do it!
Brandie, have a great weekend!! Your plans sound fun to me 🙂 And I can totally understand needing a break from blogging – sometimes we just need it. Enjoy your break 🙂
Enjoy your break and hope to see you back here soon! I understand the burnout feeling though.
I understand burn-out here; been there, done that, taken hiatuses. Hope you enjoy your summer and return soon 🙂
I need MyFitnessPal to keep myself on track! When I let myself stop tracking calories I go crazy and eat anything I want whenever I want.
I hope you have a restful blog break! I understand the burnt out feeling and have been thinking about doing the same thing. Then again, I always think about quitting completely, too, and it hasn’t happened yet.
The summer is a good time to take a break with blogging. Who wants to be on the computer when there’s nice weather to enjoy? I ignore the additional calories added by exercising on MFP. I haven’t been tracking so much but when I do I only use maybe half of the calories I gain through exercise. Have fun at the game tomorrow and enjoy your pizza! 🙂
Enjoy your break!
Have a nice break, Brandie! You need to take time for yourself. ❤
I hope you had a fantastic weekend!! And enjoy your break, sometimes a step back really helps 🙂 🙂
Enjoy your break! I think I’m going to take one in August. This heat is just dragging me down. I don’t even feel like reading.

I loved going to the Indians and Browns games when I lived in Cleveland. Have fun! I guess it’s TGIM for me without the TG, since I somehow missed this post on Friday. haha I hope your early day off and the game went well.
Happy break, enjoy it!! I’ve heard Bittersweet is awesome so I’ll be curious to see what you think ♥
Enjoy your break! I know exactly what you mean. I think I am taking an impromptu social media break these days, and I don’t feel guilty about it in the least!
I hope you’ll enjoy your break. You deserve it. 🙂 I totally know where you’re coming from with the feeling burned out thing. I’m getting a little tired of it, but still trying to keep at it, even if not as hardcore as I used to do. But, I’m also leading a huge project at work and that’s leaving me wiped by the end of the day, so I might need to step away a little bit myself in July or August. We’ll see!
