Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings and discusses a wide range of topics from books to blogging.
QUESTION: What were your favorite surprise books of the year?
I read a lot of books this year, but there were only a few stand out books that either surprised me, or left a long-lasting impression. Books that had the WOW factor and left me with a major hangover. Books I never wanted to end.

A Million Junes made my list too!! I still need to get to the Queen and the Cure.
I really need to read A Million Junes. Everyone seems to love it. I’m so with you on Illuminae, and the sequel. I can’t wait for the third one.

Great list! I always do a year end reading wrap up and have already started thinking of my favorites of the year and I have A LOT! Last year was kind of lackluster for my reading, but not this year!
I’ve only read Evelyn so you’ve given me many other options to look up:)!!
I just saw A Million Junes on another blog, I have to add that one. I have the new Kristin Higgins book coming up on my review list, I can’t wait. I have heard great things about it. Thanks for doing TMST this week!
Great list! I’m happy to see I’ve read 4 of these!
P.S. I think my biggest standout was the entire Grip series by Kennedy Ryan.
I need to check this series out…
It’s so good! Flow, the first novella is free. It gets better and better as it goes on.
Mine have been Daisy in Chains, Making Faces, Take a Bow, and Ragdoll (those are the 4 I have given 4.5 stars too).
I still need to read Ragdoll and Take a Bow. They’re on my list!
They are way different from each other, but both wonderful! I hope you end up enjoying them like I did!
