Just a fun way to share my thoughts and recap our weekend shenanigans.
Shout out to my friend, Michelle, at That’s What She Read. I love her Sunday Reflections format and decided to incorporate something similar in my post today.
Tradition. Every year my mom and I make Christmas cut out cookies. Sunnie loves to help – she got her baking gene from my mom, not me. We did our annual baking yesterday, and now I have way too many cookies in my house tempting me.
Date Night. On Saturday night, Nunz and I did a little shopping, ate at our favorite Italian restaurant, and then relaxed at home watching Home Alone. It was perfect.
Grateful For. You all know how much I love to run, and though some days are easier than others, there are days when I NEED it. I had a very lazy rest day on Saturday, and when I’m not active, I generally feel like crap. It felt good to get up and run on Sunday morning – I looked forward to it as much as my first cup of coffee. I’m always grateful for my ability to run.
Enjoyed. Another wonderful weekend. I also finished two books that I really enjoyed.
Looking Forward To. I’m actually using personal time today and plan on enjoying a quiet day to myself. I didn’t realize how much personal/vacation time I had left for the year – it’s enough for me to take off the rest of the month, but that’s not feasible with everything going on at work. I’ll end up taking days between Christmas and New Years’ and have to roll over a few days into the new year. I’m taking advantage today and using some hours.

That’s great you have so much time off you can take – good time of the year for that! Plus, it’s nice you can roll over hours/days since not all jobs allow that. Yay for finishing two good books. 🙂

I love that you are taking today for yourself. I actually start working on Thursday, from home and today, Tuesday and Wednesday are my last days of freedom 🙂
I’ll take some of your personal time off your hands for you! I don’t have enough! Dance wipes me out every year, and it sucks. I would actually like to take time off for a personal day here and there. Enjoy your day off though! It sounds delightful!
Sounds like you had a really nice weekend! We have too many Christmas goodies at our house tempting me too. Ahh! Lol. Taking those personal days for yourself are so nice! I hope you enjoy it! 🙂
I was sick this weekend so I didn’t get any running done. I basically laid in bed and read. Did get two review books done though so at least there was that.
Glad to hear you had a nice date night. Italian food sounds wonderful! And you got a run in, good for you. Now if you can resist the cookies! It’s hard, lol! 🙂
What a fun weekend! Hopefully you had a relaxing reading filled Monday
I hope you enjoyed your personal day! I have one tomorrow and I plan on making it a Me day!
This Saturday is my baking day! I’m so excited!! 😊
Oh man, all the Christmas cookies and treats are killing me right now. Lol. It’s only once a year though, so I’m enjoying it!
