{Top Ten Tuesday} Books Forever on my TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now being featured on That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is the Top Ten Backlist Books I Want to Read.

I usually clear out my TBR list a few times a year, knowing there are a ton of books I will never have time to read and removing the books I’ve lost interest in. But there are several that still remain, because I’m determined to read them someday!

Between Shades of Gray – I have heard this book is fantastic and have loved another book I read by this author. I also read somewhere that it’s being made into a movie, so I need to read it soon.

The Bungalow – I don’t know why it’s taking me forever to pick up this book. I love Sarah Jio and have read all of her books except this one.

Angelfall – This series has great reviews, but I will admit that I’m always hesitant to get sucked into a series, and I have to be in the right mood for this genre.

Red Rising – Another series loved by many, but I haven’t been in the mood to pick it up, yet.

The Sweetness of Forgetting – I loved another book by this author and would like to read more of her books. And also, I love this cover.

Infinity + One – I am actually ashamed to have an Amy Harmon book on this list, since she is one of my absolute favorite authors. This is the only book of hers that I haven’t read, and I have been hesitant, because the reviews range from love to hate. I want to be in the right mood before I pick it up.

A Bird on a Windowsill – A blogger friend recommended this author to me years ago, saying if I loved Colleen Hoover, I would enjoy this author, too. I admit that I own several of her books but haven’t read one yet.

A Gentleman in Moscow – This type of book isn’t what I would usually pick to read, but it comes highly recommended by so many readers and friends that I’m determined to read it someday.

She Laughs in Pink – My friend, Lori, recommended this book to me a long time ago, saying the same thing as above about Colleen Hoover – if I like Colleen, I’ll like this author, too.

The Hate U Give – I have a Kindle copy of this book, but have been waiting for the audio version to become available to me from my library (and it feels like I’ve been on the waiting list for months). I’ve heard from so many readers that the audio is great, so I’m trying to hold out for it.

I loved Angelfall so much. I’ve been wanting to read Red Rising for awhile now. I decided to check out the e-book from my library, so maybe I’ll finally get around to it this month. I read The Hate U Give, but I didn’t love it as much as everyone else seems to.

I haven’t read THUG but we saw the movie.

I’ve been good at knocking down my TBR pile to under 50 (this does not include my recent ALA books) but I have a few from BEA 2011 I would like to adventurously read in my lifetime lol

You MUST read Red Rising! I also think you will definitely like that Amy Harmon book. I read the first two books in the Angelfall series and I think I have a copy of the third book, but I still haven’t read it yet.
