{Top Ten Tuesday} Upcoming Releases I’m On the Fence About

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now being featured on That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Upcoming Releases I’m On the Fence About.

I have added a few books to my TBR list that I’m not sure are for me. Help me decide if I should give them a try, or skip them!

The Girl He Used To Know – I wasn’t a fan of a book by this author that I read years ago (and I was in the minority). It’s getting a lot of great early reviews, and even one of my favorite authors loved it.

The Drowning – It sounds good, and one of the bloggers I follow had it on their most anticipated books of 2019 list.

The Hiding Place – I liked (didn’t love) C.J. Tudor’s debut book. This could be one I get on audio.

Dangerous Beauty – I loved one of this author’s books last year. It was a romance that surprised me, because it wasn’t super cheesy. Lately I’m not having any luck reading romance books that don’t make me cringe.

All the Wrong Places – It has been years since I’ve read a Joy Fielding book. One of my favorite suspense novels of all time is by this author, but the last few books I read of hers were really meh.

We Came Here To Forget – First of all, I love the cover of this book. I’ve tried one of her books in the past, and couldn’t get into it. I am hoping to give this one a try.

One Little Secret – I will admit that I requested this book on Netgalley just because I liked the cover. It sounds good, but I’ve never read anything by this author.

Layover – I’ve read one other book by David Bell, and it didn’t wow me. I like the premise of this one, so I want to give it a try.

The Invited – Another book where I love the cover and the synopsis, but I didn’t love a book I’ve ready by this author in the past, so I’m hesitant. This sounds like a great Halloween read – and maybe a good one for audio.

The Starless Sea – Is it going to live up to The Night Circus? That’s a lot of pressure.

Have you heard of any of these? Which book should I keep on my list?

I have a few of these Brandie. I Loved Chalk Man and this new one is more of a horror genre I’ve heard, so I didn’t request it, but pre-ordered it instead. My sister loves Stephen King so after I read it, I’ll pass it to her. I’ve just finished The Invited. It is a paranormal, ghost story and has a lot of atmosphere, but I didn’t find it “scary” at all. The others…..I’m also on the fence!

I think the majority of these are on my list to read so I’d say go for all of them, though you do have very valid reasons listed for being unsure about them… so don’t blame me if they suck. LOL.
