W… W… W… Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Worlds is a weekly meme showcasing what you just finished reading, what you are currently reading, and what you plan to start reading next. Except I’m changing it up a bit, since I can never plan what I’m reading next (moody reader). Instead I’m going to talk about a book I’ve recently added to my TBR that I’m excited about!

what i recently finished reading

I love John Boyne‘s writing style. Both times I’ve read one of his books, I’ve not wanted to put them down. That being said, I didn’t love this book as much as The Heart’s Invisible Furies, but I really enjoyed it and still recommend it. I will definitely continue reading his books in the future.

So, there were some twists in The Au Pair, but they didn’t wow me as much as they made me roll my eyes. Didn’t love this one.

 what i’m currently reading

I’m still in the early pages of The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and to be honest, it’s a slow read. But, it does have my attention and I’m enjoying the story. Hoping the pace picks up.

Having loved The Hating Game, I was on the fence about even picking up 99 Percent Mine, because I don’t know how she can top THG. And after seeing some early reviewers saying the books are very different from each other, I went into it trying to keep my expectations low. I’m listening to the audio version, and my emotions have been all over the place.  I can already say it’s not going to top The Hating Game, but it could still be worth recommending. We’ll see…

what i have recently added to my tbr

Christina Lauren is one of the few romance authors whose books I know I will enjoy. I’m excited to have a copy of this one.

WHAT SUNNIE READ

Still working on this one. Hasn’t had a lot of time to read in the past week. 🙂

Reading anything good this week?

I am waiting for A Ladder to the Sky from the library. I have heard so many good things. I am hoping I like The Au Pair more than you since I recently bought it . I also have 9o Percent Mine to get to. I am excited for new Christina Lauren too!

I’m sorry you didn’t end up enjoying The Au Pair as much Brandie, I’d heard some great things about that book as well. I felt exactly the same way going into 99 Percent Mine, I hope you end up enjoying it more than I did. I’ve also become the biggest fan of Christina Lauren as of late, and I’m holding back on dropping everything and diving right into The Unhoneymooners!

I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on 99 Percent Mine. I’ve been seeing a lot of mixed reactions and I’m almost sorry I got approval for this one. It was late approval too. *sigh*
