W… W… W… Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Worlds is a weekly meme showcasing what you just finished reading, what you are currently reading, and what you plan to start reading next. Except I’m changing it up a bit, since I can never plan what I’m reading next (moody reader). Instead I’m going to talk about a book I’ve recently added to my TBR that I’m excited about!

what i recently finished reading

I listened to Lock Every Door and loved it. Perfect Halloween read.

Camille Pagen has become a favorite author in the past few years and This Won’t End Well is another 5-star read.

I listened to Dear Girls and it was okay. If you like obnoxious and over-the-top with a major side of swearing, you’ll like this one. Lol.

The Weight of Blood was excellent on audio. This is my second audio book by Laura McHugh, and I’ve loved them both.

what i’m Currently Reading

I was fortunate to receive and ARC of Holding on to Nothing in the mail last week. So far I’m really enjoying it.

I started listening to Beard with Me on Hoopla, because I’m waiting on some library audio holds to come in, and I was in the mood for a romance. I think this is the 5th or 6th book in the series, but so far it reads like a stand alone and I don’t feel lost (I’ve only read the 1st book – and I wasn’t a fan). I’m not loving the woman narrator, but I am enjoying the story.

what i have recently added to my tbr

This cover is so pretty. The sequel to The Simple Wild, which was my favorite book of 2018. I hope it lives up to the first.

Reading anything good this week?

Nonfiction November

This has been the year of nonfiction books, and I have read/listened to so many great ones! Before this year, it was rare for me to pick up nonfiction, but I’ve read a record number of them, and have so many to recommend for Nonfiction November. Most of them were audio books, usually narrated by the author.

Here is my list of favorites so far for 2019. It’s a mixed bag of history, humor, self-help and memoirs that blew me away. And if you have any nonfiction recommendations, please share!

what i recently finished reading

I love Tarryn Fisher, and I enjoyed The Wives, although it wasn’t my favorite of her books. I was under the impression that it was shocking and full of twists, but it wasn’t IMO.

The Grace Year was a really good audio book. It’s getting a lot of buzz right now and rightfully so.

I loved Well Met. Super cute story and the audio version was wonderful.

what i’m Currently Reading

I am loving Lock Every Door. Listening to the audio version on Libby. Perfect for this time of year!

Camille Pagan has become a favorite author in the past couple of years, so I was excited to be approved for a copy of her new release. It’s hard for me to find books that hold my attention lately, but her writing sucks me in immediately.

This book sounds really good and I’ve been seeing a lot of it on Instagram lately.

what i recently finished reading

I listened to The Rules of Magic and loved it. Alice Hoffman has quickly become a favorite author.

The Dutch House was fantastic! I alternated between reading it and listening to the audio version narrated by Tom Hanks. One of the best audio books I’ve ever listened to. I would love to read more books by Ann Patchett and need some recommendations on which one to read next!

The Simple Wild by K.A. Tucker was my favorite book of 2018. BUT, her books have always been hit or miss for me. Some I love, and others I really dislike. Unfortunately, Say You Still Love Me falls in the dislike category. I was really bored and didn’t care for the characters at all.

what i’m Currently Reading

I am finally in the mood to read some suspenseful books, just in time for Halloween! I usually love Tarryn Fisher’s books, and so far I’m enjoying The Wives.

I’m listening to The Grace Year on Libby, and it’s good. I like the narrator.

what i have recently added to my tbr

I love Amy Harmon and can’t wait for this book.

This is two weeks worth of reading – last week got a tad busy and I skipped my blog post.

what i recently finished reading

I loved Inside Out by Demi Moore. I listened to the audio version, which she narrated. I loved her honesty and was impressed by how much she has overcome in her life.

Our Kind of Cruelty felt like another messed up version of You by Caroline Kepnes. It was just meh.

I liked The Widow’s House, and I think I could’ve loved it, if it weren’t for information overload that became confusing and took away from my listening experience. Too many connections to too many people made it difficult to keep it all straight. Probably would’ve been better to read it instead of listening.

I haven’t read a Colleen Hoover book I didn’t love. She blew me away yet again with her upcoming release.

I really enjoyed The World That We Knew. It was a slower read, unlike Faithful, which I flew through in a few days, but I really liked it.

I listened to The Only Plane in the Sky, and it was an extremely emotional experience. The audio version is incredible. If you read/listen to only one nonfiction book this year, make it this one. This book will stay with me for a long time.

I really liked the audio for If You Want To Make God Laugh. I have another book by this author on my TBR that I Iook forward to reading in the future.

what i’m Currently Reading

I am loving The Dutch House! I went back and forth on whether I wanted to read it or listen to the audio version, because it’s narrated by Tom Hanks, which I’ve heard is fantastic. But my eBook library hold came in before the audio version.

Since I’m loving Alice Hoffman’s books, I started listening to The Rules of Magic. I’m loving the narrator and the story so far.

what i have recently added to my tbr

A new book by my favorite suspense author.
