My Spring & Summer Amazon Finds!

Today I want to share some great Amazon deals I found recently. I’ve purged so many clothes in the past year (still living that minimalist life), but I desperately needed some new, colorful items for spring and summer. And because I’m pretty cheap – I only buy stuff for myself if I can find a good deal. That is why I LOVE Amazon. I found lots of great deals, and spent less than $200! The key to buying on Amazon is always read the reviews. I never buy an item without reading the reviews for tips on sizing and to see if the material is junk. So far, I haven’t regretted anything I’ve purchased.

Long Sleeve Drawstring Sweatshirt

I adore this sweatshirt. It’s lightweight and perfect for spring. And it was only 19.99!!

Button Down V Neck Strappy Tank Top

This flowy top will be great with jeans or shorts this summer.

Summer Short Sleeves V Neck T Shirt

You’re going to see how much I love leopard prints in this post.

I needed more colorful clothing in my life.

This sleeveless henley is amazing.

I got several fun tanks…

Twist Knotted Blouse Tunic

Print Kimono Sheer Chiffon

Halter High Waist BikinI

I warned you about the leopard print. 😀 I LOVE these high-waist bikinis and this brand (COCOSHIP). I have about 6 of these bikinis in all different patterns and colors – they are fantastic.

This is the only item I did not purchase from Amazon, but I had to mention. I got this pair at DSW, but I think you can find them in most sporting goods stores and shoe stores. They are so comfortable, and I’ve been wearing them almost daily!

A Few of My Favorite Things…from Amazon and Target!

It has been awhile since I’ve done a favorite things post. I’ve found some really great deals on Amazon and Target over the past few months and wanted to share!

AMAZON

This is by far my favorite purchase. I had seen these cute hoodies on a lot of boutique websites, but found it on Amazon for a much more reasonable price.

I have been on the hunt for reasonably priced leggings that have the wide band stomach support. And I finally found them! And for under $15!

I just happened to find this sweater while searching for leopard print cardigans, and I love it!

This is the softest and most flattering tunic I’ve ever found. I loved it so much that I ordered another one in black.

My favorite running shoes.

This tie front top is so cute with leggings, shorts and jeans. I ended up getting another one in gray.

This was the dress I found for my 10-year wedding vow renewal. I loved it so much that I also got it in black to wear for special occasions in the summer. You can’t beat a perfect summer dress for under $25!

TARGET

I couldn’t pass up the deal on this hooded sweater coat. It’s super comfortable.

When these blankets were on sale, I ordered two of them for my living room. And they are my absolute favorite blankets ever. They’re Sherpa on one side – so soft and cozy! My cats especially love them. 😀

One of the softest sweaters ever.

I grabbed this first pair of high-rise destructed jeans when Target was having a jeans sale ($20) and I LOVE them. They are so comfortable.

I’ve had a thing for camo lately, and I love these skinny jeans.

I’ve gotten away from designer bags lately, because I can’t find any that I like. Instead I’ve found a lot of bags I love at Target. I need to carry bigger bags, which both of these bags are the perfect size, and I love that the first one is a crossbody, too.

{THIS WEEK IN BOOKS}

I am reading The Smallest Part by Amy Harmon, and I’m loving it so much. My evenings have been busy, so I’m not as far into the book as I’d like to be. The only reading time I’ve had all week is when I’m on the treadmill. I’m hoping to make some time to relax and read on Sunday.

When I was able to sit down and read a little bit on Tuesday – with the Amy Harmon mug I won in a giveaway.

{ON A PERSONAL NOTE}

Tonight I need to do grocery shopping, laundry and get everything ready for the dance competition tomorrow. Honestly, I’m more nervous about tomorrow than Sunnie. I keep worrying I’m going to forget to take something, like one of her costumes. I’m super organized, but this first competition has me wound up. And of course I want Sunnie to have fun and enjoy the experience.

{STAY THE PATH}

I’ve had to move around my training days a bit this week, because of my work schedule and needing to be in the office several days. Looking forward to my long run on Sunday. I’ll especially need it after the next few days.

 {GET IN MY CLOSET}

Target strikes again, but it was under $15!

A New Day Long Sleeve Plaid

And I love this camo sweatshirt I found on Amazon.

Hope you all have a great weekend, and thanks for reading!

{This Week in Books}

I got a few new books this week that I’m excited to read.

{Stay the Path}

Week 3 of half marathon training, and it’s going well. I’ve been sticking to the schedule, which is a mix of running and cross training, with 2 rest days every week. I’m using the elliptical for cross training days, and I’ve been working on stretching so that I don’t have an unwanted hamstring injury again. I was able to run at the park last Sunday for my long run day (which was only 4 miles). Good thing Monday’s are rest days, because I was feeling it. 😀

{On a Personal Note}

We painted the bedroom last weekend, and I love it. Here are some before and after pictures.

A few other highlights of my week – our new living room furniture finally being delivered, and meeting my bestie for lunch – we were way overdue for girl time.

This weekend we have a lot of dance stuff going on. Practice on Saturday morning and a full dress rehearsal all afternoon on Sunday. First competition is only 2 weekends away!

These camo joggers from Amazon and denim shirt from Target.

Have you watched the video for Say Something by Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton? You need to. So so good.

Several months after getting a new iPhone, I finally figured out how to use the portrait mode. And have been annoying my cats with photo sessions.

Hope you all had a great week!

Little late posting today – it’s been a busy few days! Happy Thanksgiving weekend, friends! I hope you’re enjoying this long weekend with your loved ones. I’ve been off since Tuesday and am really enjoying my time at home with my family. Sunnie has her best friend over to play this afternoon, so I took advantage of those few hours to finish a book and do a little blogging.

{This Week in Books}

I just finished The Stolen Marriage by Diane Chamberlain today. I enjoyed it so much more than I expected, and was really surprised by the turn of events at the end. I thought I had it all figured out from the beginning and loved finding out I was wrong!

{Stay the Path}

My hamstring is feeling much better this week, and I’ve already hit 5 days of running. I even got to the park earlier in the week for one of my runs. I gave myself some grace and didn’t worry about counting calories on Thanksgiving, but I definitely made sure to stay on my running schedule to offset all the extra food I’m consuming. 😉

{On a Personal Note}

Things have been a bit crazy since last weekend. We decided to redo our kitchen – I posted about it here. Sunnie had her first friend sleepover on Tuesday night, since they didn’t have school on Wednesday. Then we hosted my parents for Thanksgiving. I actually love making Thanksgiving dinner and didn’t mind waking up super early to get everything prepped. We had a wonderful meal and spent the rest of the day watching football and relaxing. Unfortunately, my husband has been sick the past few days and by mid afternoon his energy was completely zapped. He woke up feeling much better this morning and will hopefully be able to enjoy the rest of the weekend.

 {Get in my Closet}

I posted about these slippers in my Favorite Winter Items post, but I feel like they deserve to be mentioned again. They’re on sale, and they’ll be the best $15 you ever spent.

Black Friday. Do you go out into the madness? Do you prefer to shop online? Do you just skip it all together? I hate any shopping that isn’t online. And I especially hate crowds. I braved the crowds about 8 years ago, and decided it would be the last time I ever put myself through it. Most of my shopping is already done, but I did score some great deals on Amazon today. Both my parents Christmas gifts, as well as one last minute thing for Sunnie. I also got a new Keurig that was $50 off and the Echo Dot for $20 off (Merry Christmas to me!). I’ve been wanting to get the Dot for awhile, so I’m glad I waited until it was on sale. Not too bad and didn’t have to leave the comfort of my living room! 😀
