It’s been a fun weekend – had date night on Friday, and our friends had a wine tasting party. It was so much fun, but staying up until midnight is rough when you get old. I definitely can’t hang like I used to. 😉

LOVED this one. Sandra Brown is definitely one of the best when it comes to romantic suspense. You can read my review here.

Loved this one, too. This series is so good, and I can’t wait for the 3rd book. But I could do without the shirtless man cover. I know these covers appeal to a lot of women, but to me it cries cheesy romance novel. And this book is anything but cheesy.

I picked this one up at random after seeing a few reviews, and it really surprised me how good it was. Loved it. Despite the stupid cover.

I really wanted to like this book. It is getting so much praise and great reviews. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the first few chapters. The dialogue was so unrealistic to me, and the flashback parts of the story were dull. I loved the concept for the book, but it just didn’t work for me. This is the second book I’ve read by this author where I felt the same way about her writing. I think it’s time that I accept her books just aren’t for me.

CURRENTLY READING

Lol. More shirtless men. I may have a problem. But I love Bowen’s writing, and this book is really good so far.

Maybe more shirtless men books?! 😉 I’ve been on such a romance kick the past few weeks, but who knows what mood I’ll be in by the end of the week!

I don’t usually read this many at once. I’m focusing on Sting right now, because it’s so good I can’t put it down. I was excited to be approved for it on Netgalley and had to start it immediately.

I’ve been all over the place in my reading lately.  I never know what I’m going to be in the mood for. This book is being released on Tuesday, and I’ve pre-ordered it. I’d like to think I’ll start it next, but who knows.

Happy Monday! We had some beautiful weather this weekend, including temps hitting 90 on Saturday! Spent the day in the pool Saturday, and the rest of the weekend we definitely enjoyed the sunshine as much as possible. And I finally finished a book!!

I know I’ve had The Girls in the Garden on my list for weeks. I really want to read it! I just haven’t been in the right mood. Maybe this week.  The Choices We Make has also been calling to me, after a friend on Goodreads recently raved about it.

Happy Monday! It was a great weekend, although it went too fast, as usual .The highlight was Sunnie’s dance recital. She did so great! This week is going to be busy. Sunnie has Safetyvillage every evening for a few hours, and Tuesday night we’re going to look at houses. We are hoping to move soon! Fingers crossed we find a good one.

Thank you to all of the service men and women, past & present, for putting your lives on the line for our freedom every day. Although I appreciate having a long holiday weekend, I don’t take lightly the reason for this day off. I’m so very grateful.

It has been a very warm, sunshiny weekend for which I’m also thankful! On Friday I took a yoga class with my girlfriend in the morning and then we took our kiddos to the park for a few hours. Afterwards we made an ice cream stop and then a quick trip to the library. Saturday we spent the entire day in the pool soaking up the sun. And today my parents asked to keep Sunnie for a sleepover, so my hubby and I got to go out on the boat and enjoy more of the awesome weather. While he fishes, I read and get a tan. It has been a pretty perfect weekend! Tomorrow morning I have a race first thing, and then we’re having family over for a cookout in the evening.

I have been meaning to start the Helen Grace series for awhile. It wasn’t my favorite thriller, but I enjoyed it enough to want to continue the series. As for Undecided – if you love New Adult  – then you need to read this book. I loved the writing, I loved the characters, I loved how witty and real it was. It was never cheesy and had just enough angst without being too much. I loved this book SO MUCH. This was a case in which the hype lived up to all of my expectations.

CURRENTLY READING

Okay, I get it now. Amy Harmon is a fantastic writer, and I have been missing out all this time. I am kicking myself, seriously. Just started this one today, and I don’t want to put it down. The fact that tomorrow is Memorial Day tugs at my heart even more. This book is incredible. My friends who continued to recommend Harmon to me – THANK YOU.

WHAT WILL YOU READ NEXT?

I started this one a few nights ago, before I got sucked into Making Faces. I was really enjoying it (WWII stories are proving to be my favorite historical fiction), and look forward to picking it back up.
