W… W… W… Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Worlds is a weekly meme showcasing what you just finished reading, what you are currently reading, and what you plan to start reading next. Except I’m changing it up a bit, since I can never plan what I’m reading next (moody reader). Instead I’m going to talk about a book I’ve recently added to my TBR that I’m excited about!

what i recently finished reading

I really enjoyed The Night Before on audio. I also listened to Far from the Tree and The Perks of being a Wallflower – both YA books and both really good.

Although it felt like it took me forever to finish Ask Again, Yes, I loved it! Highly recommend adding it to your summer TBR.

I just couldn’t get into A Hundred Summers. I’m sure it was my mood – I’m going to try the audio version when my library hold comes in.

what i’m Currently Reading

After seeing so many people raving about The Unbreakables, I decided to give it a try.

Listening to The Cactus on Hoopla, and it’s cute so far.

what i have recently added to my tbr

I splurged on a Kindle copy of this book after seeing so many great reviews of it.

Loved Hope and Other Punch Lines. A lot of the book is about the impact that 9/11 still has today on people who survived it. Even though it’s fiction, it’s a very powerful read.

The next three books were all audio books, and all from the Summer Reading Guides I mentioned a few weeks ago. All were 3 star reads for me.

what i’m Currently Reading

I’m still reading A Hundred Summers. But I’m more focused on Ask Again, Yes – it sucked me in from the beginning, and I’ll hopefully finish it in the next few days.

I really enjoyed the last Wendy Walker book I listened to on audio, and so far this one is just as good.

One of the Bookstagrammers that I follow recommended this book. It sounds like something I would enjoy – looking forward to reading it!

what Sunnie read

Still haven’t made it to the library to sign up for the summer reading program. We just got through a very busy recital weekend, and I’m trying to get our lives back on track! 🙂

I can’t recommend Maybe You Should Talk To Someone enough. I was surprised by how much I loved it – it’s wonderful and will stay with me for a long time.

Emma in the Night had a lot of mixed reviews but I loved it! Especially the audio version.

I listened to The Invited and liked it okay. I’m just not a big fan of ghost stories…

I just wasn’t feeling it. I wanted to like it, but I have a hard time with sci-fi and aliens.

what i’m Currently Reading

I’m loving Hope and Other Punch Lines, as I figured I would. A perfect summer read.

Just got my audio hold for My Sister, the Serial Killer this morning.

I’m also reading A Hundred Summers and Ask Again, Yes. I was anxious to read both and need to focus on one. Serious book ADD this week, because I want to read ALL the books, and I don’t have the time! 😀

what i have recently added to my tbr

This book is getting a lot of buzz.

what Sunnie read

We gotta get back on a reading schedule after this week! I’m going to enroll her in the summer reading program at the library.

{Top Ten Tuesday} 10 Favorite Books From Last 10 Years

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now being featured on That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is 10 favorite books from the last 10 years.

This was so hard! Having to narrow down ONE book a year is almost impossible to do. Some years I read so many amazing books that it’s hard to pick an absolute favorite. But I did, minus 2016, where I had to pick 2 books, because they are my two absolute favorite books of all time (It Ends With Us and Making Faces). These are all books that left a lasting impression on me.

I gush about Amy Harmon all the time, so I’m going to spare you from more gushing. Just know that her writing is amazing and The First Girl Child is fantastic.

The other 3 were audio books – the best one was Before I Let You Go. Kelly Rimmer is going to be an auto-buy author in the future. I enjoyed parts of Eat, Pray, Love and The Woman in the Window was just okay.

what i’m currently reading

I loved Emily Henry’s last book – hoping her new book is just as good. Listening to the audio version.

Maybe You Should Talk To Someone comes highly recommended by several book bloggers. I got a copy from the library and am enjoying it so far. I’ve been reading more nonfiction than ever in all my years of reading, and I love it!

what i have recently added to my tbr

This book was recommended by Modern Mrs. Darcy on her Summer Reading Guide. It sounds really good!

what Sunnie read

Last week of school and the weather has been wonderful lately. We’ve been spending more time outside and less time reading. 😀
