{Bout of Books 20} Day One

Bout of Books

So, my first day of BoB was an epic fail. But I plan to make up for it later this week! Today was my daughter’s first day of school, and last night was her open house, plus it was dance registration night. By the time we got home, did bath, and got to bed – I was too tired to read much. And then I didn’t sleep well last night – first day of school jitters? Is that a thing for moms? I still get nervous for her whenever she goes through the first of something. 🙂

I did participate in the Twitter Chat last night, which is always fun.

My favorite readathon! It’s a no pressure, week-long event, and I plan to post updates on my blog as well as on Twitter and Instagram.

This is the first week of school, and we’ll have quite a lot going on over the weekend. I’m still going to try my hardest to participate when I can.

{Bout of Books 19} Day Three

It’s not the book, because the book is fantastic. It’s me. I had a really busy day yesterday, and by the time I sat down to read, all I wanted to do was sleep. In fact, hubby and I went to bed early. So, I suck at being a bookworm this week. 😀

{Bout of Books 19} Day Two

Well, yesterday wasn’t the best reading day. Too busy and then too tired. I’m really hoping I can get more time to read today. Especially because I am already loving The Queen and the Cure!

{Bout of Books 19} Day One

After a really busy weekend, I didn’t have much time to prepare or even think about the week ahead. But I LOVE BoB week, so despite a busy schedule the next couple of days, I’m going to try to read as much as possible and participate as much as I can. I didn’t bother setting any goals – I’ll just be happy to read at all.

I’m in a bit of a book funk and have had trouble settling on a book for the past few days. I probably started about 7 books and put them all down after a few chapters. I just don’t know what I’m in the mood for! I hate when this happens – especially when it’s a BoB week!! Last night I decided to pick up the ARC I have of the new Sarah Morgan book. I love her books and they usually hold my attention. Because I was so tired, I didn’t get very far, but I was really enjoying it. And today The Queen and the Cure was released! I was SO excited for it to download to my Kindle this morning! There are only a few authors who’s books I will pre-order, and Amy Harmon is one of them. I plan on starting this book today.
