W… W… W… Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Worlds is a weekly meme showcasing what you just finished reading, what you are currently reading, and what you plan to start reading next. Except I’m changing it up a bit, since I can never plan what I’m reading next (moody reader). Instead I’m going to talk about a book I’ve recently added to my TBR that I’m excited about!

what i recently finished reading

I really enjoyed We Came Here To Forget, and I’ll definitely read more by this author in the future.

Lie to Me was okay. The ending was pretty over-the-top ridiculous for me.

What I’m Currently Reading

I wasn’t loving The Last Romantics at first and almost set it aside for something else, but I’m glad I kept reading. It just feels like it’s taking me forever to finish, because I’ve not had a lot of time to read this week.

I just started Two Can Keep a Secret on audio. I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews on this one, so I decided the audio version was a safer way to go.

I really enjoyed The Banker’s Wife, so I’m looking forward to this one!

I absolutely loved I’m Fine And Neither Are You. If you are still trying to decide which book to get with your March Amazon First Reads –  I highly recommend this one!

The Lost Husband was good, but I didn’t love it as much as the last few books I’ve read by this author. I’ve heard that this book is being made into a movie, and I think it’ll be a cute one.

I didn’t like the narrator for The Husband Hour, which kind of ruined the book for me. I’d recommend not listening to the audio version of this one.

What I’m Currently Reading

I’m loving We Came Here To Forget. This is my first Andrea Dunlop book, and I’m definitely going to have to read her other books.

I started about 4 audio books this weekend trying to settle on one that wasn’t boring me to tears. Lie To Me has its slow moments, but I’m interested to see where it’s going. One of the narrators, Julia Whelan, is a favorite, although her part is really small in this book.

Another Christina Lauren book I’m looking forward to reading.

I really enjoyed The Dreamers! I wasn’t so sure in the beginning, but I pushed myself to keep reading , and I’m glad I did.

This is Home is my first Lisa Duffy book, and I loved it! It was exactly the type of book I needed to get me out of my reading funk.

Because I’ve had book ADD the past few weeks, I went for a light audio book. Hot Asset was exactly that – light and cheesy romance.

I tried this one on audio and didn’t love the narrators. I think maybe it’s a book better read than listened to.

What I’m Currently Reading

I was excited that Camille Pagan‘s new book was an Amazon First Reads choice for March! The perks of Prime membership. I’ve only just started reading it yesterday, so I’m not too far.

I’m listening to The Lost Husband on Hoopla. I loved the last two Katherine Center books I read, and I hope this one is just as good!

After loving The Simple Wild so much, I’m on the lookout for all future K.A. Tucker books.

WHAT SUNNIE READ

Sunnie is juggling two books this week. 😀 She picked up Harry Potter again – she had read almost half of the book a few months ago and then decided to take a break. Now she’s excited to read it again.

Tell Me Something Tuesday {15}

Tell Me Something Tuesday is hosted by Rainy Day Ramblings and discusses a wide range of topics from books to blogging.

QUESTION:  What are your picks for Spring 2019?

I’m so ready for spring. Especially this morning when it’s 10 degrees in Ohio.

Here are a few books that I’m excited to read over the next few months!

What books are on your spring TBR?

Well, Tell the Wolves I’m Home just wasn’t for me. I even tried the audio version for part of the book, and then went back to reading it just to get it finished. It wasn’t the story I didn’t like so much as the fact I felt no connection with the characters – not enough to care what was happening.

The Wife was an excellent audio book – I loved the narrator. It was my first book by this author, and I’m definitely planning to listen to more of her books.

I’m just not in the mood for romance-heavy books. I started Whitney, My Love and had no desire to pick it up, so it went back to the library. Same with Ghosted – I started listening to it and knew after the first 30 minutes that I wasn’t in the mood.

What I’m Currently Reading

I’ve kind of been in a bit of a reading rut – nothing is really holding my interest. My library hold of The Dreamers came in, and at first I wasn’t sold on it. But the more I read, the more I’m interested and enjoying it. Hoping to finish it in the next few days.

This is Home is my first book by Lisa Duffy. I requested it on Netgalley after reading the synopsis (and honestly – I loved the cover). I’m not very far into it, but I like it so far.

I’m listening to Our House on Libby.

I was drawn to this cover on Netgalley, and it sounds really good.
