W… W… W… Wednesday, hosted by Taking on a World of Worlds is a weekly meme showcasing what you just finished reading, what you are currently reading, and what you plan to start reading next. Except I’m changing it up a bit, since I can never plan what I’m reading next (moody reader). Instead I’m going to talk about a book I’ve recently added to my TBR that I’m excited about!

what i recently finished reading

I was a little disappointed in The Winter Sister. I was expecting it to blow me away, but it was just okay.

Then She Was Gone was just okay, too. This author doesn’t wow me like she does other readers. I half listened to the audio version, half read it.

 what i’m currently reading

So far, I’m really enjoying Be The Girl. It’s K.A. Tucker’s first YA Contemporary.

Listening to Next Year in Havana, and I’ll admit I was a little bored in the beginning. But now I’m starting to enjoy it. I think my education failed me, or I didn’t pay any attention in history class (it was my least favorite class), because I’m learning a lot that I didn’t know about Cuba.

what i have recently added to my tbr

After seeing this book made a lot of favorites of 2018 lists, I decided I needed to read it. I hope my library hold comes in soon!

{Top Ten Tuesday} Books I Meant To Read In 2018 But Didn’t Get To

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now being featured on That Artsy Reader Girl. This week’s topic is Books I Meant To Read In 2018 But Didn’t Get To.

It comes as no surprise that there were a lot of books I wanted to read last year and didn’t have the time. Such is the life of a bookworm – so many books and so little time. I’m really hoping to make these books a priority in 2019.

Have you read any of these? Which book should I read first?

It has been awhile! Hoping to get back into the routine of sharing what I’m reading every week. I’m not going to share all the books I’ve read since my hiatus…just the last few. 🙂

what i recently finished reading

My first book of the year – What the Wind Knows –  was perfection. It was a slow read because of all of the history, but it was so beautifully written and such an incredible story. It will top my best of 2019 list for sure.

I’m all caught up on my Kate Moretti audio books, now. This wasn’t my favorite, but I still enjoyed it.

The Lucky Ones was really good on audio! Loved it.

I’ve never had any luck with Renee Carlino’s books, and after giving her one last try (3rd book I’ve tried), I’m done. I had hoped that listening to the audio version would make me like her books more, but that wasn’t the case. Sadly, her books just aren’t for me.

 what i’m currently reading

The Winter Sister is fast-paced and I’m really enjoying it.

what i have recently added to my tbr

I am trying really hard not to add too many new books to my TBR and get through the books I already have. But this one was calling to me after seeing a lot of excitement over it the past week.
